Wondrous Item, rare (requires attunement)

This seemingly mundane amulet is made of a small, polished stone shaped like a sleeping face, with a faintly glowing, half-closed eye carved into its center. While wearing the Seepy Boy Amulet, the user feels an overwhelming sense of drowsiness at all times, as if a deep slumber is just out of reach. Despite this, its true power awakens when the wearer is in dire need.

Gift of Success. Once per day, when you make a roll for any ability check, saving throw, or attack roll and failure seems imminent, you can use the Seepy Boy Amulet to guarantee success, provided success is possible. When you do, the effort immediately weighs upon you, and you gain 2 levels of exhaustion as a result of the strain.

Pushing Your Limits. The amulet’s power can be tapped a second time before your next long rest, but at a dire cost. Using the amulet again grants another automatic success, but doing so adds 3 additional levels of exhaustion (5 total). The exhaustion caused by the amulet cannot be avoided by any means, magical or otherwise, except by a long rest. This leaves the wearer dangerously close to collapse, and their body struggles to maintain itself.

Curse of Fatigue. The wearer of the Seepy Boy Amulet finds sleep harder to resist, and their body constantly teeters on the brink of exhaustion. While attuned to the amulet, you require an extra hour of rest during a long rest to recover from exhaustion as normal, as though haunted by strange, unsettling dreams.

The Seepy Boy Amulet is a double-edged gift, for while it ensures success in moments of great need, it demands a heavy toll on the body and mind. Many have fallen into slumber after using its power, never to wake again.
